WHY TRAIN RAID, WHY DIVE CCR?

Add an exciting dimension to your life - come & dive a choice of
Fully Automatic CCR's with only ONE certificate!

WHY WAS RAID FOUNDED?

  1. To meet the growing demands to dive recreational closed circuit rebreathers.
  2. To formulate a dedicated, dynamic e-learning recreational training programme for sport CCR, with continued education to embrace all levels, from beginners to instructors.
  3. To bring recreational rebreathers into the mainstream of diving through RAID training.

WHY TRAIN WITH RAID?

  1. RAID offers ONE programme for all RAID registered rebreathers.
  2. Electronic learning allows flexibility and up-to-minute information, followed by practical training with RAID instructors, at the divers own pace.
  3. Divers will be unburdened from learning a new course every time they want to dive on a different RAID registered rebreather AND they qualify to dive open circuit nitrox.

WHY DIVE A RECREATIONAL CCR?

Fully electronic (automatic) recreational rebreathers have many advantages, including:

  1. Lighter, modern materials.
  2. Full electronics engineered to reduce risks.
  3. Combined mouthpiece: switch from CC to OC, a known gas, in the event of an emergency without removing the mouthpiece.
  4. Warm and humid breathing, less dehydrating.
  5. Multiple dives without filling consumables.
  6. ADV:  automatically adds air when needed.
  7. Pre-set diving parameter set points.
  8. Automatic calibration in most RAID registered rebreathers.
  9. Absorbent material available in a pre-packed canisters.
  10. Separate alternative air source octo to bail out, if required.
  11. Far less decompression stress, because of the oxygen rich breathing gas.

A simple philosophy; if in doubt bail out to OC and make a safe, slow ascent to the surface.

FROM INSTRUCTOR TRAINERS

"Students can learn everything on-line before doing any practical training", said Andre Naude, AHA Dive Centre, Centurion.  This gives him more time to be out on his Dive Expeditions, but still be available for any questions his students may have.  He looks forward to training instructors and cross-over instructors from any dive agency into the RAID system.
RAID's electronic academic learning allows for flexibility and up-to-the-minute information, whilst at the same time providing practical, thorough training with a RAID Instructor.
Reef Divers, Pretoria's IT, Peter Herbst, with 1000's of dives, commented, "never before has there been a specialized training programme to cater for the needs of the recreational CCR diver. www.DiveRaid.com will take the adventure of underwater exploration into the twenty first century!"

THE FUTURE

RAID looks forward to diving into the 21st Century with recreational CCR divers.
